Hi all. New here. I have a question on mod assign on the SG and switching layers immediately after saving a perf.

I’m fine with the mod assigning procedure, but when i come to exit mod assign and i press the mod button it still continues to flash, i.e. it doesnt go back to ‘home’ performance mode or patch mode. is this correct? is it me or a bug? Does one have to press the performance or patch button to exit. the manual seems to indicate that you press the mod assign button one final time to exit or have i got that wrong?

i’ve noticed as well that if i press the layer switching buttons immediately after saving, the SG temporarily freezes, then allows you to switch layers. normal behaviour?

It stays on whatever button you push. In other words the mod assign button isn’t a toggle. If you want to get back to performance or patch, push those buttons instead.

TBH forgetting to push the mod matrix button is my most common screw up, and accidentally changing performances instead, so I try to just leave the mod matrix button active since it’s what I tweak the most often.
