Does UDO not participate in their own forum?

From lack of responses to posts here, it seems like UDO hosts but their support team does not participate in or acknowledge queries on this forum. Is that true?

Yes. See the pinned post: Note on Tech Support

From what I can tell, early on in the lifetime of this forum, they did, and then George felt the need to formally insulate himself from the pressure to respond to requests. If it sounds like I’m being critical of that move, I don’t intend to be. I’m sympathetic. I do wish we could get the kind of dialogue that, say, Urs provides on the u-he forum, but I also don’t understand how Urs has the time or emotional capacity that he does, so I know that can’t be for everyone. I’d probably trend towards the George end, myself…

When I got my Super Gemini a few months back I was worried about the same thing, but I opened a support ticket to check a few things and got superb service.

My guess is that they do read the forum but choose not to engage, since the udo-audio user (probably George himself) has very recent logins usually and no posts. If you actually need something from UDO themselves my suggestion is to open a ticket. But if you expect them to be engaging in the forum discussions don’t hold your breath.

Having run my own businesses, I can assume certain commonalities in other businesses as well.

One never has spare time; quite the opposite.

Every day feels like you’re in over your head.

Money, fungible resources and expenses are always a concern and therefore, a constant source of stress. Time is a constrained resource, and most of it is usually devoted to feeding a company’s wide-open mouth.

If you’re an owner/operator, there’s no “downtime”; you can’t unplug. That’s the worst of it.

It would be wonderful for George or another colleague at UDO to have a voice here. They obviously love making music, love their products and - from the countless videos I’ve watched - love talking about their products. But, I can only assume that they just don’t have the time and sadly…I understand completely.
