New Unit: Toggle switches have a strange resistance

I received my Super 8 today and I’m checking if everything works. The unit is spotless and works perfectly. The only thing I noticed is that most of the toggle switches have a hard resistance when moving them from the middle position upwards or downwards. It feels like as if the switch had to be forced against a metal part that stands a bit in its way until the switch skips through. Almost all the switches are like this.

Is this normal? Do others have the same experience?

That doesn’t sound right to me, they have a clear detent for each position, but are not stiff to move at all. Unlike say the oscillator type knobs.
