Early adopter bugs :)

Maybe the email you send could be to ask them to read the forum :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

ok i have to admit i just discovered my expression pedal wasbroken, plugged in another one and suddenly the range is there and parameters change. i think the broken one wassending like half a volt max, so all my mod matrix mappings were almost maxed out to get some change.

I will be releasing a patch set soon, it defenitely goes deeper than what ive heard and seen online so far. This first batch seems to have a lot of complex sounds and epic cinematic patches. Bread and butter sounds just fall out and sound so good, i dont feel like there s any need to sell patches like that. within its WYSIWYG features, it is just all sweetspot. But the rabbithole goes deeep…

I’m experiencing an issue, I can select Performances with the numerical buttons but not Patches, and when I’m in the Patch banks it does not say Patch on the upper left. Instead it shows this odd little icon that I can’t find in the manual. When I’m in the Patch banks I can still select them with the encoders. But if I use a numeric button it instead dials up a Performance and puts me back in the Performance banks. Anyone have a clue?

Probably a bug in firmware that needs reporting to UDO support. If you include steps to reproduce the bug they’ll send you confirmation.

I think this is a known issue - I seem to remember it being mentioned in this forum and mine behaves the same on patch 1.12.

For what it’s worth - I received very prompt and friendly service over email when I contacted them for an issue that related to some shipping damage that my unit sustained. The delivery guy slammed the box down right in front of me, it was very distressing, and then some encoders were jumpier than expected. UDO support recommended I send it back and my replacement unit has been free of any physical defects. That said I am checking the support page frequently to see when the next patch drops to hopefully clear out some of the minor glitches others have mentioned in the firmware. I bought the unit knowing full-well that there would be such issues and I’ve received prompt and friendly responses over email when I contacted them about it.

I wrote quite a lengthy email to support, listing all the bugs/issues i found, as well as all the ones mentioned on this forum. They replied really quickly, acknowledging each one point by point, mentioning they were working on it or adding it to their list. Seems like they are quite on top of it, and we will be getting at least one significant firmware update at some point. To my cynical mind that seems quite positive

Does anyone else occasionally get a value pop up on screen when the corresponding encoder isn’t being touched at all? It happens most often with the tuning encoders. I’m wondering if the encoder detection might be a bit too sensitive?
