My first impressions are: 1) I should sell my modular and 2) I wish this had USB-C. I hope feeling “1” dies down.
USB-C ports tend to get loose over time, so for me they made the right choice. (and I did sell my Eurorack because of the dmno - no joke)
You can get a usb midi to usb c cable - think that would do the job? Correct me if I’m wrong
Yes, of course - I just wish I didn’t need a special cable for it. I wasn’t aware of the looseness factor that lab_0 describes, though.
The DMNO doesn’t use any special connector types - the USB cable is just a standard type-b connector.
I’m referring to it as “needing a special cable” because I don’t have a USB-A input on either of my computers, so I need a dock or an adapter cable that I don’t have. I’m sorry this comment seems to have caused a derail. My other audio/MIDI devices all have USB-C ports.
I suggest you get an USB-B to USB-C cable, i use ones for firmware updates or other things that sometimes fail using a hub/dock
