LFO 1 LR spread not quite behaving according to the manual

Hi,

The Super 6 manual says that with the LFO 1 LR phase fader set to 50%, it should make the LFO L/R signal completely out of phase with each other, but when I do that I get something more like a 25% offset… With the fader at closer to 70% though, I do get the 50% shift/out of phase, then through the remaining 30% fader range LR offset circles back around to being in phase again.

I ran a simple test from an init patch in binaural mode, modulating the VCA with LFO 1.

LR phase fader at 50% position:

LR phase fader at ~70% position:

Funny thing is, it’s the same with my Super Gemini - so maybe I’m just missing something here…?

Cheers,
Alex

There is actually a square function applied to the knob. Generally our principle is that the setting should be good “somewhere near the middle”. In the case of phase, “movement” is best obtained around 90degrees. So this would be 0,5^2=0,25. The manual is a little misleading and your observations are correct
