Just an aside question; I’ve not yet upgraded to the latest Omnisphere but was just wondering if anyone on the forum has and is using it in conjunction with a Super Six desktop as a controller. This capability was on my wishlist for the next iteration of Omnisphere and I’m wondering how well it works and if it’s worth the upgrade even just for that.
Interested in this too n I don’t even own Omnisphere 1 or 2.
What I don’t quite get is if you basically control the same architecture as the Super 6 but in Omnisphere. Or if, say for instance with the oscillator types if they cycle through some given different oscillators in there.
I’ve watched a few vids but i’m not that much the wiser. Did you watch the Sonicstate one? I think it was a bit long so I turned over. Might try again.
I’m not entirely sure myself and it must obviously vary between different synths. I believe it’s a bit more than just using the synth as a straight up control surface but don’t think it directly uses the on-board hardware alongside Omnisphere itself. I may have to take one for the team and, in the name of research, get the upgrade and report back. I have Omnisphere 2 and it’s wonderfully deep but just a bit fiddly to use all on screen; I think it would benefit greatly with hardware integration.
