Sustain Pedal Behavior

Hello - I’m currently using my Super 6 with a sustain pedal for the first time. With the pedal connected but not engaged, all notes are being sustained, and the hold function is active. As soon as I press the pedal, notes are no longer sustained, and the hold function turns off. This is counterintuitive. What am I doing wrong? Is there a global setting for this?

Check if your pedal has a polarity switch. That should reverse this behaviour into the intended one.

Thank you Shor! Appreciate you

I have the Roland DP-10 and it seems to be enough on the Super 6 to just plug it in before you turn it on for the pedal to work correctly. Just in case any one with the issue finds this thread, like I did.

The Super series auto calibrate for pedal polarity on power on. Don’t depress the pedal while power cycling unless you want reverse action!
