I’m not sure what you mean by “someone deceived me.” This thread clearly states that the released application is for macOS only, and you previously asked here about a Windows version yourself. So please explain exactly where this Windows project came from and who provided it to you.
It cames from: mindexpansionpuzzles
Thank you for clarifying. In that case, it appears that @mindexpansionpuzzles created or provided you with an unauthorized Windows version of my application. I have never given him permission to port, reverse engineer, modify, reproduce, or distribute my software or any of its contents.
So if you received this Windows version from him, please understand that it is not an official or authorized version of my software.
Could you please tell me how you received it from mindexpansionpuzzles and whether he presented it to you as an official or authorized Windows version?
A general clarification regarding Super 6 Patch Studio
Since an unofficial Windows version of my application has now appeared in this thread, I want to make something clear for everyone.
Super 6 Patch Studio is my original software and is protected by copyright. The fact that an application is publicly available does not mean that anyone is free to reverse engineer it, extract its code or resources, reproduce it, port it to another operating system, modify it, or redistribute derivative versions.
Nobody has contacted me or asked for my permission to create a Windows port of Super 6 Patch Studio, and I have not authorized anyone to do so.
In particular, taking code, resources, data, mappings, factory content, UI elements, or other proprietary parts of the application and using them to build another version, including by providing those materials to an AI service, is not something I have authorized. Depending on what has been copied, extracted, or redistributed, this may also constitute copyright infringement.
I have absolutely no problem with people asking for a Windows version. In fact, I appreciate that there is enough interest in the application that people would like to see it on other platforms. But there is an important difference between requesting a port and taking someone else’s software and creating or distributing your own port without the author’s permission.
If somebody wants to contribute, collaborate, or discuss bringing Super 6 Patch Studio to another platform, ask me first. I am the author and active developer, and I am right here in this thread.
For clarity, there is currently no official or authorized Windows version of Super 6 Patch Studio. Any Windows build being shared by other users was created and distributed without my permission.
I therefore ask that any unauthorized Windows versions based on my application are no longer distributed.
I made a payment of 10 Eu via PayPal through this site:
Then he send me Windows version.
Thanks, but I think there is still a misunderstanding here.
Patch Studio is free. The €10 payment was an optional donation. The Gumroad page clearly identifies the application as a macOS application, and the official download contains the macOS version only. I have never distributed a Windows version through Gumroad or anywhere else.
You previously said that the Windows version came from mindexpansionpuzzles. So I need to understand what happened after you downloaded my application from Gumroad.
Did you download the official macOS version from my Gumroad page and then receive the Windows version separately from mindexpansionpuzzles?
The Windows version shown in your screenshots is clearly not the official file downloaded from my Gumroad page. It is a separate WPF/Windows project, and its diagnostic output explicitly refers to original resources, original factory patches, original MIDI parameters and other application components.
So could you please clarify exactly who sent you the Windows files, how they were sent to you, and what you were told they were?
I am asking because no Windows version has ever been released or authorized by me.
Where exactly did you get the file/folder Super6PatchStudio-WPF-v2.0 shown in your screenshots?
Please do not refer to my Gumroad page as the source of that Windows build. The Gumroad download contains the macOS version only. There has never been a Windows version in that archive, and anyone can verify this because the application is free to download.
So I am asking specifically: who gave you Super6PatchStudio-WPF-v2.0, and where did that package come from?
You previously said it came from mindexpansionpuzzles. Please confirm whether that user sent you this Windows package directly.
@mindexpansionpuzzles, now that the source of this Windows version has been clarified, I have several questions for you directly.
Who gave you permission to create a Windows version of my software?
Who gave you permission to use, extract, reproduce, modify, reverse engineer, port, or redistribute any part of Super 6 Patch Studio, including its resources, data, factory patches, MIDI mappings, UI, or other proprietary content?
Who gave you permission to distribute this Windows version to other users?
I am the author and developer of Super 6 Patch Studio. You never contacted me and you never asked me for permission to create or distribute a Windows port of my software. I have never granted you such permission.
The screenshots provided in this thread show a separate project called Super6PatchStudio-WPF-v2.0, with its own Windows/WPF implementation and test infrastructure. Its diagnostic output explicitly refers to things such as “Original function retained,” “Original resource retained,” “274 original factory patches,” “68 original MIDI parameters,” and “Unique CC mapping.”
We now also have confirmation that you distributed this Windows package to another user through a private SwissTransfer link, while referring to my application as “the original.”
So I would like a clear explanation:
How exactly did you create Super6PatchStudio-WPF-v2.0? What parts of my application did you use? Did you extract, decompile, reverse engineer, copy, or otherwise obtain any code, resources, data, mappings, factory content, or other materials from my application? Did you provide any part of my application or its contents to an AI service or any other third party in order to create this port?
Super 6 Patch Studio is copyrighted software. Making the application available for download does not grant permission to take protected parts of it, create derivative versions, or redistribute unauthorized ports.
I am explicitly asking you to stop distributing this Windows version and any other derivative versions based on my software.
If you wanted a Windows version, you could simply have contacted me. I am the author, I am actively developing the application, and I am present in this very thread.
Thanks for clarification this issue. If you plan Windows version, be sure that I’m seriously interested to buyit, testit, or both. Greets!
