Could also use the 1-8/A-H leds to give an indication of how far (and in which direction) the param is from its saved value - same way the leds work for ±100% in the mod matrix.
Takeover mode would also be cool. Though such additions would be best off made optional, so that those who don’t want the behaviour of their Gemini to be altered aren’t forced into it.
Meanwhile I have implemented an external takeover (or what you call catch up) mode in my plugdata patch, for those who enjoy such things: Uncle Wayback's Ultra Gemini Thread - #7 by unclewayback (I will be separating out the takeover mode in a future update, so you can use it without the gui & stuff, however it will only work automatically with performances, as the SG doesn’t send PGM changes for patches)
