Firmware update - release date

I would like to join the rank of beta testers as well. Thank you!

I really dislike the change imposed a few versions back ago where the Envelope Key Tracking acted on both envelopes, even though the contol itself is visually only for ENV1, similar to loop. it also messed up a couple of my favorite patches

proposal:

  1. key tracking switch by itself sets tracking for ENV1 only
  2. shift+key tracking switch sets tracking setting for ENV2

I would like to take part as well. Thanks!

I’ll be closing the “recruitment process” for the beta testing phase now. Thank you all for volunteering! Your participation and feedback has been of immense help.

Thought it was releasing officially in a week??

lets wait until tomorrow…if not released tomorrow, I start collecting stones…

Was released to beta testers a couple of hours ago, running on my S6 right now. Fingers crossed will go public very soon. Th dude said a week, that’s tomorrow.

We are about to release 0,27 tomorrow (Monday). Support will be on hand with any issues after it goes up but the update is fairly easy to carry out and you should be fine.

Lots of new features and fixes and an improved core sound to look forward to. Please follow the update instructions as closely as you can, read the release notes that come with it and the new manual is already online (V3,0). Happy days! George

Thank you George and UDO team!! Can’t wait to install it, won’t be able to stop refreshing everything until I get a hold of it!

This is already such an amazing instrument, the idea that it is about to get even better really is quite something. Well done, and thank you for such a good start to the week!

Dope. Thank you George!

Mac users might have to delete hidden files to or it will give an out of space error like mine did when copying over the update files

Can’t wait to install the new Firmware later on today. I note one of the features is that all knobs & faders now send/receive MIDI CC data. How can I turn this off or at least get the Super 6’s knobs & faders to not send any CC data? I’m currently using my Super 6 as my main MIDI controller and I don’t want to be sending random CC data to my DAW

You can easily disable either cc transmit / receive or both in the Global settings. See the manual section for a simple description. Let us know if you have any trouble

Oh that’s perfect - there it is on page 108. Thanks for that, I just wasn’t sure where to look!

I’m having issues with the arp on the new update. when it will randomly cut out and the keyboard goes silent. Is anyone else experiencing this?

yes I’m getting unpredictable results also regarding recording midi notes from the arp/sequencer. It works then doesn’t work randomly

May be relevant that if a stop message is received or the midi clock stops the arp will also stop. Choose send clock in stopped mode option on your sequencer/daw to play the arp when in stopped mode. The new update automatically switches to external clock if it detects one. You can disable this after it’s detected, or choose not to send midi clock to the device to play regardless of the external transport

I have problems with 0.27. Many of my best self made patches were “damaged”, all of them use detune between DDS1 and DDS2, some in combination with crossmod and/or LFO1 as oscillator and modulation via pedal.

Problem 1: detune of DDS2 was at +6 and it played perfect in 0.26. In 0.27, DDS2 detune is different and I have to manually adjust it somewhere between +5 and +6. Then it sound ok → rework of patches done and ok
…but: depending on the patch played before, sometimes the next patch is out of tune although I stored it in tune!!! This still happens, no work araound found.

Problem 2: modulation by pedal to DDS2 detune as well as crossmod worked well in 0.26 but in 0.27, these patches have a problem as the modulation range seems to be reduced massively. Thus, I cannot reach the modulation, which was available in 0.26 at the max. position of the pedal → no rework found up to now

Same. One of the original patches - C4 is a classic example. Pedal modulation of the xmod used to go to an octave above (about 75% slider) now it only reaches 50% max.

Quite a drastic loss.

I noticed quite a few people complaining in the past that modulation was not the full capacity. has it been reduced even further? Oh dear.
