Just been messing around - the bender can mod the xmod through 100% i think. Is it maybe just the pedal functionality thats blown?
take it back. modulation is only 50%. Is this what is was before? why did factory preset C4 have 75% modulation?
Hi we are looking into the pedal ranges now. We will A/B the two firmwares here and provide a detailed answer. Either way we’ll be able to match it very shortly.
Patches from 0,26 should sound the same in 0,27, where they do not for some people, we will quickly diagnose it and assure that we release a patch very soon.
If a patch is saved in 0,27 and then the synth is downgraded and the same patch is re-loaded in 0,26 it will not sound the same so please try to avoid this.
Hi, we can confirm the bug report that the expression pedal range has in fact precisely halved in 0,27 versus 0,26. We have just rectified this and a new patch 0,28 will be release shortly rectifying it.
Please wait as there is another bug which also needs to be fixed (out of tune problem), refer to my Problem 1 description.
If you need my patches as an example, I can send to you.
By the way: I wonder why the beta testers did not find this problem. Seems nobody uses the pedal modulation feature. This is one of the best features in S6, can be used to morph between two sounds (when using crossmod) or detune DDS2 e.g. a 5th which gives wonderful orchestral possibilities while playing.
Hi @Vanlesson can you send your patches and a little explanation to hello@udo-audio.com? Thanks
Upgraded to 0.27 successfully. Nice to have USB MIDI! I can now perform Program Change from Ableton, but the HW LED for the preset selected is only shown if you manually change to the respective bank. i.e the selected bank LED doesn’t follow the Program Change automatically, even though the sound does.
NB) It might have been clearer to retain 16 banks of 8 presets for Program Change, unless there’s a reason for this.
Hi, it’s possible to update the selected bank without changing the patch, and similarly it’s possible to change the patch without changing the selected bank. I agree, that in the case of program change, it might be more intuitive to see the bank LED update to the bank within which the patch was loaded. I will have a think again about what scenarios one would not want the selected bank to change with program change message patch selection to make sure we dont frustrate anyone else, then make the change if it’s clear to do so
I’m still getting binaural mode stuck on with some patches. No way to disengage, expect for in manual mode.
e.g. from the CO5MA patch “p5_CO5_AnalogPad”. Can’t get 12 voice mode by disengaging binaural. Not pressing any keys and still is stuck on ??
I don’t have any of the factory sounds but have you tried flipping the DDS2 switch that does sync/x-fade? It is tied to Binaural when the switch in its middle position.
I’ve noticed that too, and I think it has to do with the voice mode that you are in. I believe you have to be in poly 1 or 2 in order to disengage binaural. I’m not 100% sure though.
Running the latest firmware on my Super 6 Desktop that just landed. Is it possible that the Super 6 Desktop is not responding to the external Mod Wheel data? Also, the delay LED is not doing anything. Maybe that’s not implemented yet?
***UPDATE
The desktop comes with 0.44, I updated it to the latest public one 0.27 and the mod wheel now works. Delay LED might have to be implemented yet?
The new manual lists the mix knob as a mod destination but the new firmware release notes don’t mention it. Can anyone confirm whether it’s now modulatable or not?
I don’t think it was implemented yet.
No, still doesn’t work on 0,27.
Yes this fixed it!!!
OK weird behaviour on a CO5MA patch “p8_CO5_BloodSync” from the excellent Monolith soundset.
I edited the patch to white noise and lowered it to -2 oct and saved. But it doesn’t save the lowered octaves. It defaults back to the middle and I need to manually lower it back to -2oct with the springy switch. Whether I go to a another patch then come back, or reboot the synth entirely, it will always default to 0 octaves. Tried saving it 5 times but the octave setting never sticks at -2
What gives??
Hi, In the pre-release 0,44 to use the mod-wheel (CC #1) CC receive has to be enabled to use the modwheel. In the public release 0,27 the modwheel is always listened to regardless of the ‘receive CC messages’ setting. Please continue using 0,27, you are up to date!
Hi thanks for your feedback, this is a verified issue that was not present in 0,26. 0,27 ‘forgets’ the Octave setting when a new patch is loaded. This crept in to allow desktop compatibility, where the octave should always be middle position as there is no octave lever present. We have patched this for the KB already and will be releasing an update during the week. Hope this helps
the new HPF is so cool! - Wouldn’t it be great, to have it’s cuttoff as a possible mod-destination?
As far as I can see, this is not yet possible, as the HPF-cuttoff is only accessable via the shift-function…
