Free custom wavetables from vintage synths

Hello! Do you think someone could share a aproper pack with a variety of waveforms (ws6) from vintage synths, please? I’m having trouble getting good results converting, even with the editors available out there. I’d especially love to hear some PPG and Juno sounds. Thanks!

I think that the PPG waves are available for free somewhere (I will try to locate and convert them).
For Juno, I don’t know.
Need to check what waves have been made by Ian Dixon for the Modwave that I have. Maybe I can take something from there (will have to check with him first).

This is not really to answer your post. What I have done is make a note on paper of the WSG waves I like the most, then on my computer create a mix & match set of waveforms I like. For example, you may have several near-identical waveforms in one set; meaning I choose the spicyest. Also, remember, you can store a waveform in every single patch, even though they are not used in the patch. In this way, you can have more single cycle waveforms available.

Regarding patch memory, I’m using upper non flashing LED for factory sounds, with my edited version or complete new patch in the flashing LED layer. Patch names are written out longhand in a notebook, with note on what was edited/ which slots are filled/ empty/ etc.

Hope that helps.

You know, for Juno sounds you don’t really need to import alternate wave forms. A Juno only has square waves and saw waves. The UDO has very nice sounding square waves and saw waves and a lot of the same parameters as a Juno. I’m not saying it will sound identical to a Juno but it can get very close. And I don’t think that importing vintage Juno saw or square waves will make much of a difference. Do you have the Arturia V collection? If so, find some Juno presets that you really like and try to recreate them on the UDO. I tried this recently with some Jupiter 8 patches and I was blown away by how good I got it to sound.

The main advantage to alternate wave shapes IMO is the weird (non analog) stuff. Definitely the PPG waves would be a major asset. I would love to get those too.
