The first 3 notches I hear nothing from DDS2 then on the fourth it jumps up sharply in volume. Does everyone else have this “deadzone”? I’m kinda wondering if this is normal or can be fixed? It’s making it impossible to dial in a subtle amount of noise/etc.
To my ears, there does appear to be a distinct jump in DDS2 MIX volume around notch 3-4.
I set DDS1 at 16’ and DDS2 at 2’, then set LFO1 to a triangle wave and modulated the pitch of only DDS2 via the DDS Modulator. With these settings, I can just about perceive the fluctuating DDS2 in the region of the MIX knob through some of this apparent dead zone, but it does feel like there’s almost a step change in volume from notch 3-4 upwards (clockwise!)
In fairness, I ran the same test on my Prophet Rev 2 and it is quite similar in nature - there also appears to be a dead zone within the first 5% of the range of the OSC1 : OSC2 Mix dial when the oscillators are several octaves apart.
At least it’s not just mine, thanks for checking. I can live with it it’s a minor issue.
