I never used the USB MIDI interface. With the MIDI cables, I don’t have to disable the LOCAL mode to be able to control the unit. Maybe somebody have more experience with the USB specific bugs?

Wow, that really is valuable information. So you connect the S.G. only with MIDI cables and you can automate all the functions of the S.G. in the DAW? And the arpeggiator also stays synced with the DAW’s tempo? Without turning off “LOCAL”?
Yes, all of that. LOCAL turned off is only to avoid MIDI loopback or to control other synths with the SG. The Arp does not stay in sync though since the Seq/Arp part of the SG is not finished and buggy.
