New UDO Synth DMNO, 8-voice, 2-part multitimbral

I am in the Pacific NW US. I ordered mine on Dec. 5, 2025. The reverb-dot-com seller said that the estimated ship date was Jan. 30, 2026. So, I have been waiting a long time for my DMNO. Now the reverb seller says that it could be mid to late May 2026. I appreciate that George Hern and company are meticulous in their designs, and the firmware is as good as it can be before releasing the DMNOs to the buyers. That being said, I have read the manual multiple times and have watched every video that I could find on the DMNO. I shall patiently wait for the arrival of the new DMNO, and until then, I still have my Matriarch Dark and my Prophet-12 to make music with.

A more recent shipping update for US folks

Ohh nice, I placed my order right after the Sonicstate video. Alto Music has given up on updating their ETA - it’s still Jan 15 for the white version and Mar 15 for the black version as of now, haha

Just received mine in Belgium this morning. I ordered from a Music Store in Germany. The synth looks amazing and I feel at home with the interface. Sounds great so far, but I had no time to really experiment. Only regret: It seems I ordered too late to have one of the nice poster in my box

Just received mine too in Belgium, also ordered at Music Store (with an 8% discount voucher!!!).

Just installed it, looks amazing! Testing and exploring is for tomorrow.

Got the 8% discount too, good deal!

The posters are only included with the first 100 units, and it sounds like they all went to UK retailers.

That was my guess. I’ll have to decide if I send back the DMNO or the useless frame I bought

I recon DMNO must be popular with retailers! Delivery pushed back to June for preorder I placed 7 months ago. Gemini and Super 6 only took 6 months.

what retailer said this?

I ordered from a scandinavian one. They just pass on estimated delivery date from UDO“s distributor. I think it was originally estimated for March/April so not way off.

ed: looks like Sweden received a delivery so we“ll see.

I would totally buy this. But who has room for all these keyboards? I sure as hell don’t. I doubt they’ll make a desktop, but if they do I’d be interested.

Anyone knows more about MPE and sequencer? A roadmap would be really welcome! I have an osmose as well, so MPE compatibility is one of the reasons I bought the DMNO. The two separate voices are ideal for an extra keyboard or a sequencer (internal of external).
Would be good to have an idea of what we can expect and when.

And the synth screams for a sequencer with automation. The humble korg monologue or the pro3 are good examples of how this could work.. Sequencers don’t seem to be a core feature of UDO, I hope with the screen on the DMNO they make it more intuitive and versatile.

If all the parameters are accessible over midi, you can of course sequence from an external sequencer, but it’s more fun and less complicated if you can do it on the synth of course. I can’t find the midi implementation chart, any info on that yet?

It sure is one hell of a synth. I really hope it gets the firmware love it deserves to iron out the quirks and bugs and add some extra features!
