16 Patches from "Elements" Collection

Finally got round to uploading some of these patches that I made almost a year ago. These are the first 16 presented simply in the order that they appear on my unit:

  1. A Chorus Of Wires: A pad inspired by @trond.olsen’s dulcimer patch ( Acoustic sounds ). MW opens the filter, whilst PB separates and alters the two voice elements using LFO1 speed and phase.
  2. Blossoming Aurorae: I may have uploaded this one under a different name before. Played staccato, it is a dark soft rounded tone. When notes are held it expands into brighter colours. Velocity increases the rate of the expansion slightly
  3. Synthetic Gulls: A smooth pad which bubbles with increased MW || AT at a frequency reminiscent (to me at least) of seagull calls. AT increases the Cross Mod amount slightly for a little pitch distortion
  4. DMTF Dreams: Square wave patch which oscillates in pitch by an octave at the speed of LFO1. MW increases slow down the LFO1 rate, producing a playful effect when used in melodies.
  5. Cuboid: Square wave bass
  6. Rounders: Rounded Bell arpeggiated patch. MW primarily increases DDS2 Modulation on the filter
  7. Phosphorine: Dissonant bell using tracked filter resonance
  8. Hidden Generator: Another Soft Pad which widens in stereo image over each notes duration. MW increases the dynamics, with the PB+ adding greater movement
  9. Pewpew: Laser gun effect
  10. Path To Elfhame: Flutey pad with movement. MW increases the dynamics, with PB- adding greater movement. LFO1 rate is increased with increase VEL
  11. River Rhodes: Dreamy EP-like patch. Dynamics change greatly with VEL
  12. Retro-Tracker: Resonant Filter with full tracking, and a little bit of retro sauce
  13. Eminent Strings: Synth strings with movement provided by AT. MW closes the filter
  14. Ariel’s Goblet: Glassy bell like keys sound. AT increases XMOD and DDS Mod for pitch variations
  15. Pebble Flow: The lighter the touch, the greater the flow. MW adds a lower octave and slows the flow a little. AT slightly increases XMOD
  16. Pralines and Cream: MW produces variations between brittle keys at its lowest and a soft, creamy pad at its highest. AT increases XMOD

Some lovely ones in there!

You’ve brought out some of the UDO character I’m familiar with from the last year and a bit of having a S6 then S8.

I wish I could’ve been better at formally recording some of the patches I made but never saved. As it stands I just have echo-y iPhone video recordings which I may still upload to Youtube if I can improve the quality on them.

Thank you @RB26FET

I kinda rushed these recordings - they haven’t been properly topped and tailed with fades for a start, and I’m not sure if my similarly rushed short demos do some of the patches justice! There’s also plenty of room still for expanding each one with a little more modulation capabilities (e.g I haven’t employed the pedal in any of these yet) Hopefully they’ll be of some use out there!

What synth are these for? Will they work on the Super G?

Hi Jonah, these are for the S6 only unfortunately :frowning: It would be nice if you could simply load S6 patches into individual layers on an SG/S8 and then expand upon them but they differ too greatly for this to be possible :frowning: (https://udo-audio.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/articles/11678063675292-Can-I-load-my-Super-6-patches-into-the-Super-Gemini-or-Super-8)

They sound great!! Love to hear more
