I set up a separate Soundcloud account for Jamuary, and have been experimenting with Radiguish drones where oscillators beat against one another (maybe that’s more Eleh but whatever) and then high harmonics come in. For today’s jam I was going for similar vibe to some of the Radiguish droning I’ve been doing, but with the Super 6. Instead of feedback and resonance, I just set up a patch on my Super 6 going through my Aftershock and then hit notes and twisted knobs instead of sequencing anything. I was trying to recreate the detuned oscillators beating with the 6’s digital oscillators, so there’s a gently modulated LFO going to tuning.
I’m not totally satisfied with my Aftershock – seems to cut bass as I bring it in. Maybe I need to run it truly parallel.
