A few questions about alt_waveforms

The synth comes with 16 alt_waveforms but the manual says you can have 32. I assume that means that I can put 32 in the alt_waveforms folder. Is that correct?

When there are only 16 waveforms in alt_waveforms, what waveforms load in the 17-32 slots accessed in wave mode? There seem to be waveforms there that are distinct from the first 16 but it is unclear where they are coming from. Does anyone know?

Finally, I just got Cuckoos wonderful pack of patches which use his 16 alt_waveforms. I’m trying to figure out which alt_waveform is used by which patch, but for all of the patches, when I load the patch and either press Wave or move the DDS1 knob to the waveform selection, only W1 ever lights up. What am I missing?

Thank you in advance for anyone that can help with any of these questions!

Hi,

You can have 16 waveforms in the folder “waveforms” and 16 in “alt_waveforms” accessed by pressing the button a second time (flashing)

Waveforms are saved with the patch, so if a patch used a different waveform that is not in your folder, it will still load and sound correct.

Presently there is no way to extract a waveform from a patch and save it but you can use the patch as a starting point and resave the patch.

Hi George, is this the same directory structure and number of waveforms for Super G?
