Got to try out the Moog Muse today and was a bit disappointed; the sound was OK, but didn’t blow me away. The build quality wasn’t all there; the sliders were pretty flimsy and the keybed wasn’t that great. It only reaffirmed just how well made the Super 8 actually is.

Glad to hear! Yeah, the Muse looks like a toy. I like the diffusion delay, but the rest is lackluster. The Super 8 is the best synth I’ve owned by far, and now I can add the ribbon! Also, the S8 has 6 outputs, which means it can be used for quadraphonic and 5.1 music.

Ordered a replacement Super 8 today and the bonus is I got it significantly cheaper this time with a discount code from the Synthfest show at the weekend.

I was at the music store with my son-in-law, who was shopping for a synth. After trying all the synths in the store, and then going back to the Super Gemini, I was startled at how much better it sounded, and felt than basically everything else.
Very happy I went that way, and I’m sure the S8 is every bit as good.
