Changing preset artifacts

Opening a new thread as I didn’t see anyone mention this. I’ve noticed that when I change presets while playing (via midi or manually), there is up to a second where the loaded preset is behaving strangely (quieter, strange panning, etc).

It’s almost like you can hear all the values changing in real time between the previous and current preset.

Is that something others are experiencing or is it just me? If that’s for everybody, has anyone found a way to circumvent it?

I can post an audio example if that helps

EDIT: to be more specific, I’m mostly getting this on the stereo field (some patch take a second or two to “center“, before that each note are almost hard panned left or right) and on the delay which can take up to 2 second to kick in (preset will load dry and then the delay comes in)

I’ve noticed the same thing - I’ve always assumed it is by design. Using INIT (i.e Shift + MANUAL) to go from any present to the init patch illustrates this quite well

I’ve noticed the same, and love it! Yes, quirks like these make Super 6 like a real person, who gets a bit cranky sometimes. Oh and did I mention the sound? Wow, compared to my other synths it is out of this world. Nothing comes even close.

If this happens mostly with stereo effects, it could be a timing issue between L/R channels being recalculated. A temporary workaround might be automating bypass on some effects during preset switching.
