Patches are stored a .usg files, binary files created ‘somehow’. Is there any way to peek inside to see how the patch has been put together?
Yeah from a technical point of view, I would find this very interesting. In layman’s terms, what makes up a .usg file?
Me too. There is a long thread on here about a computer editor/librarian. Not sure if anything workable resulted, nor if UDO made the necessary parts of their software public???
You would have to contact UDO directly as a software developer to get access. You’ll have a very hard time figuring out the filestructure yourself. Currently Sunny Synths support reading of patch files. Hopefully UDO can expand the MIDI spec of the Super synths so there is alternative ways to inspect patches.
Exactly as Trond mentioned.
I’ll soon post some info / pictures about my Super 8 / Gemini editor (still a lot of work on it but progressing all the time).
Great to hear Dominique! If you need an alpha or beta tester, I’d be happy to help
