So on the desktop model I can modulate “note” to “delay time”. I expect it to work like this: delay time is dependent on the register I play a note in. For example a lower note will give me a short delay time while a higher one will change the delay time to a longer time (or the other way round, doesn’t really matter, depends on positive or negative modulation of course). However it seems to work only every other note. Like, if I play a note repeatedly, it will change the delay time eventually, but not the first time. It’s really frustrating. The same goes for velocity to delay time. Is this a bug? Does anyone else experience this?
Have you got Binaural turned off for 12 note poly?
A bunch of the mod assignments are only consistent in Binaural mode due to (I paraphrase badly) there only being 6 mod address pathways which get shared between all the voices. This is true for key tracking as well as some other mod sources. It’s mentioned in the manual in a few places.
If not then I dunno!
Hi,
it happens regardless of 12- or 6-voice mode.
I have a desktop too I will check it out.
I use the note mod source a lot n occasionally I’ll notice something like you mention but I’m usually on such a whirling journey that I’m on to the next thing before I know it. Retrospectively I imagine it may’ve been the 6 vs 12 thing but obvs not in this case, let’s have a gander.
Love the desktop form factor though ey?
Negative note modulation for filter and envelopes should be a standard pre-wired setting imo, so glad they implemented the note mod source on the desktop.
I think it’s limited by the fact that there is just one delay. It will never work polyphonically. How would you decide which note sets the delay time? The last one triggered? I also assume that abrupt changes to delay could result in glitches. Which could be used creatively IMHO.
It doesn’t even work when I play just single notes. And yes, I absolutely am looking for those glitch sounds.
yes the last one, as the Access Virus did approximately a billion years ago.
