After about two weeks of having the Super 6, I noticed the paint began to chip on the sides where the rack mount or ears would be placed.
Not a biggie, except, my concern is that it could mean premature wear to the labels, which this synth steeply relies on.
Curious if others experienced similar or the same?
They said it is likely from abrasion, but this synth has been babied ever since it arrived and only used part time in a home studio. All of my gear is pretty much in mint condition. On the side where the paint has chipped, there is no other instrument placed next to it.
They said this shouldn’t happen where the labels are given it has a protective coat.
Support mentioned they’d send me some paint to retouch it as a solution. Of course, not what I had hoped to do myself after spending upward over $2500 on a new product.
Wonder if once I paint it, does it make sense to add a coating (my guess is it’s not advised).
