Playing both layers with one external controller

I own a Linnstrument MPE controller and was trying to play a dual performance with it, but it seems external controllers can only play one layer or the other unless they’re capable of sending data on multiple channels at once.

Are there plans to implement a way to set midi in channels per layer separately (including same channel for both layers) ans/or add an omni in mode?

Also will there be a way to use the touch strip with an external instrument?

Thank you so much for writing and cresting this posting and have been experiencing the exact same issues but with an Akai MPC and Kordbot through the Super Gemini. It’s very frustrating and have literally spent many hours over a few days trying to figure it out and can’t get the touch ribbon to work nor using the lower channel’s midi.
