Roland Jupiter-8 sounds

Just out of curiosity, to what extent is it possible to reproduce Roland Jupiter-8 sounds on the Super-6? We have all the waveforms, crossmod, PWM, HPF, LPF and 2 ENV. Is there a JP-8 patchbook available somewhere?

I do not have Jupiter 8, but I have Jupiter 6. And while S6 architecture was, I am sure, inspired by J6 to a point, the two synths sound very different. This has to do with the multitude of factors, but mostly because S6 is not a clone, it was never meant to be. Not even getting into difference between J8 and J6 sound wise.
Now, I am sure you can get sounds close to J8 out of S6. I have this synth for years now and honestly it can get close to many other synths, especially with patches that rely on cross mod and AM/FM modulation. If you propose patches from J8 that you would like to replicate, I would be interested to try myself.
Cheers.

I tried to recreate some factory presets from the Jupiter-8 on the UDO Super-6. Just for fun and with no scientific angle or anything. For each sound, you first hear the Jupiter-8 (VST) and then the UDO. First I recreated some hardware factory presets with the Arturia VST using the original hardware patch sheets and audio fragments of the hardware for comparison. Will never be 100% the same but was fun to do.
