S6 noise issue

Hey all, just got my S6 a couple of weeks ago and loving it so far. Just got a couple of noise issues that I wanted to flag to see if others have it and if anything can be done about it.

The first is a high frequency ringing that sound v digital (aliasing?) to my ear and is most obvious on filtered bass sounds - see audio clip here - https://www.dropbox.com/s/j28v6sxhw89zb02/S6%20NOISES%20-%20ringing.mp3?dl=0

The next one is a click on the front of the first note played in a series. Playing isolated notes, I get clicks on each one, playing a few in a row it’s only the first that has it. Audio clip here - https://www.dropbox.com/s/51kxe10x8gedjlv/S6%20NOISES%20-%20hiss.mp3?dl=0

On that second link, you’ll also notice quite a high noise floor generally. This makes post-processing much more limited because if I apply deep compression or lots of creative EQ then it makes the noise all the more intrusive.

Anyone else got these issues?

Thanks in advance!

I’ve noticed the issue in the first link - seems to be a quirk most noticeable in filter drive setting 2 (I’m assuming that’s what it’s set to in the sound demo). Not sure if a bug or by design though.

Definitely notice the relatively high noise floor too. It’s annoying but I work around it a little by just maxing out the VCA level just short of clipping it - again, not sure if that’s a bug that can be fixed or just inherently part of the architecture

Thanks for taking a listen and interesting that you’ve noticed these noise issues too.

I don’t have the synth in front of me to check the patch setting but I seem to remember it being a pretty simple patch with not too much going on and using the Drive I setting. It’s particularly weird that it doesn’t seem to explicitly follow the note played.

You’re right there are various workarounds but it’d be good to get to the bottom of this to see if it’s fixable
