Sequencer Retriggers in Split Mode w/ External Clock When Playing on Upper Layer

Hi everyone,

I’m having a specific issue with my Super Gemini and hope someone can help.

The Goal: I want to have a sequence running on the lower layer while being able to play freely on the upper layer.

The Problem:

  • When the Super 6 is in Split Mode and synced to an external MIDI clock, the sequencer (running on the lower split) restarts from the beginning every time I play a note on the upper split.
  • In Dual Mode, it works fine.
  • With the internal clock, it also works fine in Split Mode (the sequence continues playing as I play over it, as expected).

Setup & Troubleshooting:

  • I’m on firmware version v1p33_43f6
  • The only MIDI input is the clock signal.
  • I have tried enabling/disabling MIDI Start/Stop reception in the MIDI settings, but the problem persists.

To me, it seems to be a bug related to the combination of Split Mode and external sync, but could also be a conflict with some other setting. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a known workaround to prevent the sequencer from retriggering?

Thanks for your help!

Maybe someone can confirm the issue? Then I would forward it to the UDO support.

Thanks again!

I have the same issue, been waiting for a fix.

Yes. I have the same issue. Just tried it with the Nome II as my external clock.

When set to Super Gemini internal clock there are no issues. When set to external clock, then the sequence in the lower retriggers whenever I hit a note in the upper.

The same thing happens if the sequence is in the upper layer and I play a note in the lower layer.
