Super 8G editor and librarian

With pleasure if someone is telling me how to do it.
When creating the topic I could only select Super 8 OR Super Gemini…

Recent SG owner and would love to see this come to fruition. Thanks for working on it!

This is looking amazing! Happy to help out with testing if needed! If there is any graphics work needed I am also capable on that end.

Cheers,
Alex

Hi Dominique,

Should we all write to UDO support to help the answers to come your way?

I find UDO a bit lazy/aloof with their way of handling bug fixes/releases of firmware/answering questions…

We all expect several bug fixes, promised/discussed features not there at launch date, aswell as useful enhancements, and you are graciously creating something UDO would have been asked to produce (external manager/editor tools).

Known answers could come back a bit quicker @udo-audio, no?

I really don’t think it’s lazy, but aloof, I get that. My feeling was bureaucratic, they have a set way of dealing with things. And I don’t think it’s a full time job for all of the staff either, just based on being told person X doesn’t work certain days etc…

That’s life as a small company.

No offense to the fellow developing this but my personal feeling is UDO themselves need to take this onboard, even if at the expense of hiring this guy.

It’s one of the most requested features. The workflow of an UDO machine is my favorite of all my synths, but by god if I can remember how I set up a patch weeks after the to know where to begin tweaking knobs.

Thx for your support guys!
The only issue is indeed the company size and the fact that some questions can only be answered/confirmed by George who, you can imagine, is constantly fully busy.
Don’t need to be hired as I already have a full time job
Just getting answers to the few questions I’m raising would be enough
I’ll re-contact Mike.
Will implement what he told me (same value on shared parameters even if this is different in the factory patches).

An editor like this is so badly needed for the SG, I hope this gets sorted out soon!! Count me in.

@udo-audio I’m surprised there isn’t more traction on this by now. An editor for the SG should be a TOP Priority.

You guys should be helping this talented software engineer get this out ASAP, everyone wins if so.

Truth is you will sell more synths because everyone complains about the lack of a screen and or lack of an editor/librarian with these synths. Why the editor hasn’t been a priority from the start is a real shame. No Screen doesn’t bother me tbh, but there has to be an editor/librarian to get the most out of it.

Fully agree, please help out @udo-audio . It will help driving sales and send positives vibes for the UDO brand and recognition.

Any ETA on a Beta release?

What do you mean by ETA? if it is some notion like time of release of the librarian/editor:

@goodweather talked at some point of a maybe release around Easter Holidays, but that was a few months ago, hoping then to receive some crucial answers from @udo-audio, which, as of now, still did not answer to these.

Maybe goodweather will chime in to give more precisions about this, but U.D.O. seems to be absorbed somewhere else for some time now… Superbooth is coming, maybe they will present some secret new stuff there, and/or hopefully brand new firmwares for the entire Super serie, one can only hope…

Thx for asking.
Well, I’m first finishing the editor for Behringer Wave that I started based on request of some guys and because all documentation was available. Such a pleasure.
Then I’ll take back the S8G.
So, let’s say by summer vacations as time flies but probably earlier.
