Title says it all. How do users of both compare the slider response and ease of use? I’m thinking of trading up for the Super 8.
I had the first version of super 6 (don’t think they ever changed in this regard) and then the module and later the gemini.
I also didn’t like the faders on the 6, but I love the faders on all the later models. They feel very premium to me. Consistent, stable and not too heavy.
So if you’re bothered by the feel of the faders in the 6, I don’t think you will be disappointed with any of the later models.
Also, I still have both the module and the gemini, and as far as I can tell the faders are identical. So I assume they used them on the 8 as well, if they have the same length / throw.
I’m glad to hear the shorter faders yield a positive result. I’m definitely selling my Super 6 for the Super 8. The Super 8 is one good looking synth and something about the sound makes me like it more than the 6. The 6 is still a quality piece though!
