Recently I bought some presets for the S6 (first mistake right there) and in the process of copying them over I deleted folders, created new ones etc and also copied multiple banks at once which I’ve since read is a bit of a no no on Mac.
Subsequently my S6 has been acting a bit weird with presets and user waves. Since there’s a few provisos for administering the S6 with a Mac I figured I’d start afresh reloading factory waves etc from a Windows PC I have.
My question is - Is there a way of totally reformatting and copying all factory banks/waves and settings over to the Super 6 in one go? Basically starting from scratch again but with the PC instead of Mac.
All the factory patches, sequences and waveforms for the Super 6 are here Super 6 Support It should be a case of deleting what’s on your Super 6 and copying said files across.
Cheers, I was actually failing to administer the S6’s patch drive at all with my MS Surface Go. The S6 wouldn’t show up as an external drive. Which I now remember is why I didn’t use it from the start n went with Mac instead.
After some Googling I found the Surface Go (the smallest and least powerful Surface) likely wasn’t supplying enough power via it’s USB C port. I connected the S6 via a USB hub that has PD pass through and everything was cushty. Got everything re-copied to the relevant folders and no more weirdness now (:
