When is the new Firmware going to be released?

where can UPVOTY suggestions be seen? Publicly or is this internal for UDO peeps?

Another suggestion… Delay Level… can this be changed to Delay send?

Also, LFO2 can be made into a poly LFO (switchable between mono and poly ideally) without need to modulate the LFO rate to achieve, each key press has its on LFO re-trigger per note.

Excited for the new firmware!!

What is it set up as currently? Right now it works great with VCA delay-throws, freeze, and infinite ambience. I like it the way it is.

The current set up is that the delay level controls the volume of the delay. If it was a delay send, then you could easily send signal into the delay with high feedback, then turn the “level” control back down but the delay wouod continue to ring out, you can then feed more signal into the delay just by dialling in more delay level/send! Try out the super gemini or watch some videos on that and it will become clearer what i mean?

This is called a “delay throw” (or echo, idk what the Techno folks call it) and can already be done using the VCA.

I don’t like the way it’s done on the Gemini. and prefer the Super 6’s current setup. Let’s agree to disagree, but I vote to keep it the same and find it far more flexible this way. :+1:

Very excited to try out the new binaural noise upgrade

There is nothing yet !

it is there. one thing shows 0.53 but if you click further down for “latest Super 6 firmware” (or whatever it says) the .zip file is apparently 1.0.

BUT WHILE WE’RE HERE.
can I suggest, although I’m sure it’s suggested before, some kind of slew option on the random waveform for the LFO? stepped is sometimes cool when sync’d to a sequence but overall slewed is much more musically useful, and I’m surprised it’s still not here.

(also, don’t forget that 12TET sucks and microtuning should be an essential on any synth!)

none of the above is complaint  I looove the S6, just wish these two things to make it perfect!

@udo-audio
Congrats on the FW V 1.0 release!
You did it!
Thanks a lot!

Hooray!!! Cannot wait to check it out after work

Just confirming I have successfully installed the new firmware on my S6 desktop, no issues detected.
Posted my thoughts on it on this thread here: Super 6 Firmware v1.0 - Thoughts on the changes

Firmware has seemingly fixed my biggest issue- volume cutouts while controlling S6 desktop via USB midi in my DAW. So far so good!

Updated firmware today, tested all the new things! Really cool, though some things to get used to/behaviour changes.

One major thing i have noticed is that DDS2 to filter modulation seems to get confused every now and then? Will continue testing, but seems every 4th or 5th or 6th press seems to do a different stereo modulation?

Anyway, congratulations on release day @udo-audio and exciting times ahead for all!

Great job, can’t wait to test this out!

Updated firmware on my S6 Desktop is solid. MIDI is running very smooth. Thank you @udo-audio !!!

Updated to v1.0. Seeeeeeems like everything is ok! At first I thought something was terribly wrong but it appears one of my MIDI cables has gone bad. I am pretty sure it’s working smoothly for me. Will report back! Thanks UDO!

Everything will the new update seemed to be working well for me but I’m a tad disappointed as I was hoping for a “catch-up mode” will some sort of LED indicator. Is this in the pipeline or not going to happen?

In any case, LOVE my super 6, thanks UDO!

All working well for me. Thanks @udo-audio for all your work on this!

For me the unsung hero of this update is the improved midi clock sync. No more undesirable delay wobbles! Bit of a gamechanger for the way I like to use my synths. The whole synth just feels that bit tighter and more stable. Great work @udo-audio.

Does the arp sync to external clock for you? Because for me it goes out of sync like it used to before the update

From the short time I spent playing with it this evening, it was staying in sync. This was using midi over USB to a S6 keyboard and clocked from Bitwig. I’ll try to test it a bit more tomorrow and see if it drops sync.

So far, for me, it is working better than before.
